1 Year Program
The MRAEF developed and certified, with the State of Massachusetts, the Certified Restaurant Professional Program. As of this month, from the two initial cohorts we will have graduated 20 Apprentices to Certified Restaurant Professionals.
Each of these graduates received:
2 Year Program
Along with the Certified Restaurant Professional Apprentice Program, we introduced the Associates Degree in Culinary Science Apprentice Program.

- 150 Hours Related Technical Instruction
- 10 College Credits Toward an associate degree in Hospitality
- 8 Industry Certifications: NRA Certified Restaurant Professional, ServSafe Food Handler, ServSafe Alcohol, ServSafe Workplace Manager, ServSafe Manager, Allergen, Choke Saver, Understanding Unconscious Bias
- 100% cost is covered form Masshire Workforce Grant.
2 Year Program
Along with the Certified Restaurant Professional Apprentice Program, we introduced the Associates Degree in Culinary Science Apprentice Program.
Each of the apprentices in this program will receive:
- 150 Hours Related Technical Instruction
- Full Time College Associates Degree Curriculum at Bunker Hill CC
- Complete Culinary Supply Kit including Knife Set, Pastry Kit, Chef Jacket, Chef Pants and Apron
- Successful completion resulting in an Associates Degree in Culinary Sciences
- 95% College Tuition and Expenses Covered from MassHire Workforce Grant
